Thinking about Renaissance Faire Vending

I have been giving some thought to getting set up to vend at local renaissance faires and other such things for non-historical pretties like flower crowns, feather cockades and maybe some other millinery.  Due to the cost of materials and other overhead, I would have to charge somewhere in the realm of $30 per crown.  Is this a fair price?  (no pun intended)

  1. I think it is a fair price for you work, but consider your competition. If you haven't already, you should go to this faire and scope out what other vendors are selling. If there are several vendors selling cheap (and cheaply made!) flower crowns, the crowds might be drawn to the fewer dollar signs than to your beautiful and unique creations.

  2. Gabriela - Thanks for the input. I will have to do some research this season when I go as a "civilian".
